Ressources naturelles, Faune et Parcs Quebec LogoSince 1994 Cushing Eco-Rec Resources Inc. (ISES) has held a permit, issued through the Québec Ministry of Natural Resources, to rehabilitate wild animals for educational purposes. Over the years this permit has enabled us to network with other provincially recognized conservation initiatives to successfully rehabilitate and release numerous eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, coyotes, fawns, foxes, raccoons, and squirrels back into the wilds. This eco-education initiative has been integrated into the ISES animal husbandry program, providing students with unique experiential education.

Ashbury College

Through a series of seasonal day visits Ashbury College junior school students (grades 4-8) develop respect and appreciation for the environment by engaging in ISES outdoor activities. Unique experiential education incorporates nature discovery and awareness- building through: workshops that explore the natural world, connection with resident husky sled dogs and wild animals in rehabilitation. Subsequently, Ashbury College youth learn to become stewards for the environment and minimize their eco-footprint.
